Spain: Muslim veil allowed at Girona school

The regional Education department has ordered the Joan Puigbert-Annexa Junior School in Girona to end the suspension imposed on a 7 year old girl of Moroccan parents for wearing the Muslim veil or 'jihab'. The girl, who was suspended seven days ago for wearing the head garment, returned to school this morning with her veil in place. Her mother told reporters that the family would have been prepared to move back to Morocco if her daughter had not been allowed to continue wearing her jihab. The school originally wrote to the girl's parents, who replied that they were not responsible for insisting that their daughter wear the garment as it is something she does of her own freewill.

I thought kids didn't wear the veil until they reached puberty.

At 7 years old the girl has her own self will without any parental influenece. Rubbish.
There is no self will in Islam. It is a fatalistic religion whioch denies self will. Everything is the will of allah.
