Abdelkader Belliraj, the Moroccan Belgian currently held in Morocco on suspicion of leading a terror cell, helped the Belgian Security Service to prevent an attack in another European country, reports De Tijd according to several sources.
Belliraj (51), left his home in Evergem for Morocco the mid-January, and was arrested there on Feb. 18th. The Moroccan police accuses him of six unsolved murders in Belgium in the late 80s and of leading a terrorist network. Last Friday it was revealed that he had served for years as an informant of the Belgian Security Service.
At the least Belliraj lead a double life. He now appears to have been a 'golden tip giver' for Belgian intelligence. Several sources told De Tijd that Belliraj had provided Belgian intelligence with crucial information, with which a terrorist attack in another European state was prevented.
According to the Belgian Intelligence service they did not suspect that at the same time Belliraj was active in Morocco with political-terrorist activities. The man's criminal record was wiped when he was recruited as an informant. In recent days it became known that he held close ties with diverse terrorist organizations such as the Groupe islamique des combattants marocains (GICM), a cell of which was rounded up in Maaseik in 2004.

What a joke. But the Belgiums are not alone, in The Netherlands happened the same. They hired extremist to work for the Dutch Intelligence (AIVD).
