Oslo: Mass fight

Police prevented a mass fight at about 8pm today in Oslo, but two hours later it started up again. The police had to jump in to pull apart two fighters who were going at it while their friends were standing around and cheering. The result was a broken hand and large gashes.

At least two Pakistani gangs with about 40 youth were on their way to Prinsdal where they had set to fight at 8pm. Police received notice at 8.10pm and soon after six patrol cars arrived at the scene. The lust for fighting disappeared when the youth understood that a dozen policemen suddenly appeared among them.

The youth came from the Furuset/Grorud and Holmlia/ Prinsdal areas.
