Denmark: Doubt about rape suspect's age

A boy from Roskilde was accused of rape by his 15 year old ex-girlfriend Monday, while she was sunning herself in a tanning salon. The boy claims the relations were voluntary. The girl is being examined at Roskilde hospital and police are investigating the case as rape.

The boy was arrested two hours after the incident, according to information given by the girl. The boy and his parents claim he's 14, which means he can't be prosecuted. However police think that the boy, who comes from the Middle East, looks older and his girlfriend says that he's 17. Police have turned to a dentist and a medical lawyer to determine his age.

The most frequent reason for foreigners claiming children are younger is to get child support for a longer period of time.
