Paris: Terrorist arrests continue

According to ESISC these arrests were related to the ''Afghan network' recently dismantled in Belgium and France.

--------------

Police arrested seven suspected Islamic extremists in Paris on Tuesday who are believed to have links to groups that send fighters to Iraq, police officials said.

French intelligence officers and anti-terrorist police first arrested a young Frenchman who had converted to Islam and then hauled in six people he associated with, the sources said.

The arrests were not connected to an incident Tuesday in which police found dynamite in a Paris department store after an unknown group threatened attacks unless France pulls its troops out of Afghanistan, officials said.
